I am a member of three committees in the House of Representatives: the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Committee on Small Business. These committee assignments allow me to have a direct impact on the needs of eastern Iowa, from strengthening our economy on the Small Business Committee, to promoting ethanol on the Transportation Committee, to investigating government waste, fraud, and abuse on the Oversight Committee.
I am the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Contracting and Technology, which is a part of the Small Business Committee. I am also the Vice-chairman of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, which is part of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
